After Texas and Florida experienced intense pre-summer heat, California and Arizona are preparing for a major temperature increase. The National Weather Service is predicting a heat wave for the Southwest from Tuesday through Thursday, with temperatures in Phoenix reaching 113°F and the Central Valley of California reaching 108°F.
Eric Kurth, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sacramento, stated that "it's coming early." "We must get ready, because the heat is coming." As seen by the recent Corral Fire near Tracy, California, which quickly spread to over 14,000 acres, this early heat wave increases the risk of fire.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has projected that 2024 would be among the warmest years ever, making it more important than ever to comprehend extreme weather and make appropriate preparations.
